Introducing PodSharp Certified and Approved Picks, Your New Go-To Bet Recommendations
Howdy, Sharps. We are excited to roll out V1 of PodSharp Certified (PC). PC models the 3k bets and counting that we’ve scored to pull out the highest likelihood winner. Early results have these picks hitting at a 65%+ rate for the NFL! Worth noting, of 3,000 bets scored and counting, that Podcast recommendations hit at 51% - slightly better than a coinflip.
What does this mean?
For NFL, we’ll be highlighting multiple PC picks a week, on top of consensus and trending picks. We’ll continue to roll out to more sports once we have confidence the model is performing.
What’s changing?
The only change is getting more for your paid membership. While PodSharp is designed to be the ultimate gambling research tool, we also want to be able to confidently provide recommendations to the every day bettor. On top of all the research tools and bets database, the newsletter will now be bringing you the highest likelihood picks.
How does it work?
This will have two tiers, “PodSharp Approved,” which our model is flagging as a 65%+ probability to hit.
“PodSharp Certified” picks will be more limited, but our model is flagging as 75%+ chance of hitting. This is a HUGE value and we’ve been testing this for two weeks to make sure it was ready to launch tonight.
Last Week Look-Back
Another 5-3 week for the NFL, bringing us to 20-13 on the year. while college went 3-3 and is and 13-12-2 on the season. Both are sitting above .500, while NFL is off to a killer start since we’ve been tracking. We’ll be breaking out performance for PC picks specifically as those are the picks we’ll be hanging our hat on moving forward.
Top Hits:
-Texas ML vs. Vanderbilt - The pick of the week continues to be on fire for college with only one miss on the year.
-NFL consensus picks were a near sweep, with Bears & 49ers covering plus the Rams/Saints under SQUEAKING by a half point.
-Florida held their ground against a strong Georgia team to cover the +7.5 spread.
Biggest Misses:
-The Colts had 13 recommendations making them the pick of the week, unfortunately Danny Dimes showed up instead of Indiana Jones. Colts couldn’t overcome the turnovers and Steelers won comfortably.
-The Lions as big home favorites were another popular choice, but JJ McCarthy had a huge bounce back game and led the Vikings to a 3 point victory.
Thursday Night Football: RAIDERS (+9.5) @ Broncos
We have 5 recommendations on the Raiders, with a few podcasts going in the opposite direction on the Broncos. Overall, analysts are flagging a division game and a short week to keep this one close enough for Raiders to cover.
Denver has also been keeping games really close outside of some matchups against horrendous defenses in Dallas and Cincy.
